I might be interested, but I know very little about the Golite packs. How is the padding on the hip belt and shoulder straps? I'm a pretty bony little guy, so decent padding is a must-have for me.

I'm going to guess from the photos it doesn't have a sleeping bag access on the bottom, but there's maybe one big external pocket on the back?

The padding is fine for me, though the hip belt padding could be longer for my 40" waist. There is no sleeping bag access on the bottom, there's one big external pocket on the back.

Google the Reviews, there are many out there, some good, some not so good. It's a very individual thing. For me, it's great and I'm getting a size "L" to fit me before my next trip.
