I'm looking for some diagrams or videos on UQ suspensions, Shug has one but it doesn't have the channels along the edges, it uses corner ties. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I do have channels on my Frankenquilt UQ for sure. Go in about 6 minutes on this video to see it.

What exactly are you looking for? Scott might have something on his DIY guides - the Insultex UQ at DIYGearSupply. Might help.

Thank Shug, I watched that video 2-3 times, I just didn't watch it far enough in to find what you had to offer. Thanks.

Shug (or anyone else), are you running shock cord through all four of those channels, or just at the head and foot of the UQ with some sort of static cord to attach it to your hammock suspension?
I'm debating the pros and cons of running shock cord through my PLUQ channels. Thanks!
Just finishing up a couple of sew-up PLUQs with two layers of IX, I am thinking of running some zing-it on both sides with loops with 24" of shock cord on each end. Thought i would put a loop on each end and then just attach the shock cord to the zing-it with a sheet bend. Thought it would be lighter and easy to replace the ends if they get weak and still be able to slid it back and forth for adjustment. I have lots of zing-it and some 2 foot scraps, beside whats the outdoors if you can't tie a few knots.
