Here's the view FROM the hammocks...

Those were taken on the AT on Long creek about 1.5 miles past Stover Creek Shelter and about 1 mile before the trail to Long Creek falls.

This one was taken of my Wife enjoying the sunrise from her hammock on the summit of Horn Mtn on the Pinhoti trail in NWGA...

This on is awesome only because of the sheer number of hangers dependent on one tree!

Cam, that one looks pretty brave. It's not the first 8', it's how far you will roll after that! lol

This pic was taken on private property. A much closer drive for you and awesome place to hang would be the Burrels Ford area of the Chattooga River. It's located on the Ga/SC border not far from NC. Lots of great camping and the river is beautiful

    Finally

Ok, with a couple delays (First I forgot, then second, my **** photobucket uploader was under maintenance, then third for some reason I don't have privilages to upload here...)

I finally got the pics up. Here was a nice little afternoon hang in Leavenworth, Wa. Hiked up Icicle Creek Canyon and made whoopies from my nice little perch. Was a good day.

Looks like an awesome and breezy spot to relax the night away. Something tells me you had some hawks or similar soaring thermals out there.

After six hours hike, found this cool place to hang for some rest and photo ops before walking off again into the fog..
