where to buy, what to buy

quick question to see where it is you buy you ripstock silnylon for a diy tarp project. I'm not paying 150 dollars for a tarp. Period! I have a lady friend who is willing to help me sew up my own. Please let me know what sort of material to steer clear of too. Don't want it leaking. I would imagine there would be a seam sealer needed too. Thanks for your help here. I really enjoy learning from the best!

DIY Gearsupply/Backwoods Daydreamer is a good place to start looking, you can find some tarp plans there as well.

Another +1 for Scott. I recently finished my hex tarp. Photo here: http://www.hammockforums.net/gallery...1_original.jpg

I PMed him a few times and he always replied quickly with the requested information. He is my go to supplier. I will post photos soon from my week at boy scout camp. I used the standard platform tent as a storage area and entry hall that lead to my HF approved bedroom. Good Luck with your project.

THAT is a good looking tarp! I wish my Hennessy Hex was cat cut between the ground tie outs...
