I had about the same issues to workout before purchase. I had/have a Skeeter Beater Pro and 10'x12' Etowah tarp. The new upgrade is a WBBB D 1.7 and the Hennessy Hex Tarp. The Hex tarp seemed to be the best choice at 1/2 the price of the Super Fly since I am not worried about the weight or use during really cold weather.

i dont know if this has been mentioned, but the nx isnt a bridge hammock, its a really wide gathered end hammock that has poles to spread out the fabric above the main body of the hammock.

Barnes, I liked the WBBB as well. Hennessy responded a bit faster and fit the budget a little better as I'm not positive that this is the direction for me. If it is, I forsee a few more in the stable.

Keike, someone did point that out early but I always appreciate the info. Thanks!

Not sure when they get here but you can imagine pics will come quickly.

Thanks again for all the suggestions!
The Kelty Noah 12'er is PERFECT. IMO, the 16'er is just too long...

I have a camp Superfly and a Blackbird and love it. You can't go wrong with Warbonnet. Brandon does great work. Be prepared to wait on it though haha

Finally a decision jk - now comes the hard part... waiting

I've had the HH ExD and HH ExUL, loved the support and feel of the ExD, but loved the weight of the ExUL... looking forward to getting another ExD (or Safari) - "for the wife"... or when i just want an extra comfy hang...

Aye, waiting is annoying. I found a place where I got the 12' Kelty for $48 shipped (it's in another Kelty thread) and that, coupled with the Hex tarp should be a good work horse combo!

Thanks again for the help in narrowing it down!

Since this thread is still alive, I received my superfly shipping notice today; 7/19. To save you the trouble of looking back to the first page, it was purchased on 7/5.

I ordered the Hennessy late on the 17th (effectively Wed the 18th, it got shipped from Washington State then, and hit Kentucky last night (the 19th). that was FAST! Since it isn't marked weekend shipping I'll have it Monday afternoon when I get home from work. Quick service? Yes! Add in that they called be back when it was obvious they were busy to answer a question I had before I ordered it and I'm well pleased with the customer service so far.
