I wouldn't. Mine is 35' and I'm about to make a new one at 50'. I was hanging in June and had to use two 18" chainlinks to get my CRL to work. Of course this past weekend the trees were much smaller and I had a lot left over but it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

+1 on the 50'. I'd rather deal with the "inconvenience" of carrying an extra 15' than having to pass over a choice hang spot because I didn't have quite enough cord. In fact, I carry two extra 50' lengths of the braided mason line that I use for my tarp... because I can!

A Klemheist knot is what I use with my 1.75mm Zing-it. It is generally recommended that the loops of these be made of a smaller diameter than the main line. However, the Kemheist works just fine with equal diameter lines as long as you take another wrap or two. The same is true with Prussic knots.

This forum really is getting to be too much.

I'm sitting here, with Animated Knots on one tab and HF on other, and I know I have Dutch in favorites status.

Now I'm making CRLs for my tarp out of mason line, with cute little Prusiks and dreaming of rolls of Zing-it and a use for all these old guitar strings
