    Side pull-outs

I would like to ask those of you who do have side pull-outs on your tarp, which way do you prefer? Grip-clips, Dutch's clip-on tarp pullouts or a sewn patch with a D-ring in it?

At present, I am using Grip-clips on my Wally World tarp. But am finishing a DIY ripstop tarp and am curious about better options.

Six of these and a half-dozen of those.

I don't really see much difference between the 3 options.

Sewn on is permanant/more difficult than just clipping one of the other 2 options.

Grip Clips/Dutch Clip On are about the same in my eyes (maybe a slight difference in weight?).

If one is ordering a new tarp, I'd just go with sewn on - negligible weight addition and they're always there.

If one already has a tarp, I'd go with either of the after-market clip on style as they are much easier to install on your own.

Their wasn't an option on the poll to choose all of the above

I didn't add that because I felt it would be the predominant favorite.

I picked sewn on, since that's what my new superfly has

I prefer the sewn in type. But I don't use D-rings, just the loops of webbing on the tarp.

Even though I voted, I've only had experience with sewn in patches. I have never owned any of the others.

Currently I use grip-clips, but am busting out the sewing kit to install sewn loops. (No d-ring, just webbing on a patch.) I'm done being annoyed at fiddling with the clips, and moving towards faster setup times.
