Velcro closures or snaps might help that? I dunno, just more thought into your processes. Thanks again for this awesome idea!

I love it really cool. I have slept in many tents and what I have found annoying is when something heavy falls out of the sac. Like a book or a mag light. Well I think would be awesome is using drawstring cord the stuff they use in water bottle holders to secure anything. I think that would extremely rock.

The closure idea is interesting. I'm thinking that I can sew in some shock cord to the open end.

Great idea! I've been toying with my DIY plans for a while now, and I think this might be worth including in the plans! Thanks!

Good idea. Are you familiar with sewn-on-snaps?
Stainless, well-engineered items that may have been made for a century. (Gee, mine are so old, they were made in England.) They're inexpensive, come in a number of sizes, and don't require a machine to attach. Sizes start at 4 and go out to 0000, the last I looked.

Great to see customization of hammocks.

After three nights in the Hammock with the new organizer, I can attest that it worked EXCELLENT! I had no problem with items falling out and had a lot of storage area for headlamps, phone, hat and the Nalgene bottle.

The problem that I had originally reported with the Nalgene was completely alleviated by putting it into the pocket closest to the head, no tipping, no getting in my way while entering.

There really wasn't a need to have a closure for the pockets, and everything was convenient to grab if needed while in the hammock.

I am going to be building a few new hammocks and this will be included into all of mine from now on, I LOVE IT!

I hope that others find it as convenient as I did during this trip.
