There is a thread on DIY sil. But curtains may be too loose a weave to do that effectively. Plus make sure they aren't fiberglass. That would be bad.......

Next question....polyester and "what" makes the blend?
Lots of curtains have fiber glass in them. The problem with fiberglass is just that. It is fiber glass. While it seems flexible and maybe even soft it is very brittle and little pieces that break off could get caught in your breathing. Not a good thing. Not a good thing at all. Bunching and folding the "tarp" would bust up the glass real nicely.Originally Posted by gmcttr

It's either fiberglass or cotton. Cotton will degrade rapidly and fiberglass, well, what RRev said.
