Thumbs up Pic of my first overnight backpacking trip

    Hello,

I have been peak bagging for years with day trips, and camping all my life, but never been backpacking.

This weekend using years of lurking knowledge I set out on an overnight at altitude to collect 6 of the NH 4k footers.

Just wanted to say THANKS! I decided to go with a hammock for weight/price and I slept solid through the night.

    See you out there.

Wow! great pics, i think you will find backpacking easier if you leave the 10'x20' deck at home next time!

Dropped my car off in Lincoln, NH then got a ride to twin Mountain, NH.

    Twin Mountain Trail head to
    North Twin Mt.
    South Twin Mt.
    Zealand Mt.
Guyot Mt. (Not counted as a 4k mountain)

Spent the night at the Guyot Shelter purely for access to the only spring water I knew of at my elevation. I Killed 7 Liters in 2 days hiking. *Photo B

    West Bond Mt.
    Bond Mt.
Bond Cliff *Photo A - I am sitting on the cliff
then descended to the parking lot with a detour at Franconia Falls for a bath.

    23+ miles

Some would recognize it as the eastern half of "The Pemi' Loop" (plus 2 mountains) but I needed an extra day off to do it as a loop.

I convinced a coworker to get a hammock and we will both be back out there in 2 weeks to get some more peaks.

Welcome to the forum. A great first time in a hammock and a solo. Thanks for posting.
