As I walk in the woods........ well......... I feel at peace with the world.
Depends on the temp. If over 70 I have a 40 degree back that I will lay on and use if necessary. 55-70 I'm using a big Agnes integrate mad and bag. I need a UQ for colder temps which I haven't bought yet. I'm glad it's still warm until I can get a UQ.
I started with a 20degree set-up that I tried and used for everything. I now have a set-up for the three seasons.
50degree or above- 3/4 uq and sewn thru tq
20degree- 3/4 uq and tq
Below 20degree winter- full length uq and 0degree tq
Most of this I have made myself.

A big consideration is are you a hot or cold sleeper? I find wearing a hat or down hood and down booties helps immensely.
I was thinking of using fleece blankets. 1 suspended underneath and one on top and using a foam pad in the hammock. Any thoughts?

At what temp? I haven't seen that set up but it might work for you. I think you will be cold. It's surprising how cold your but can get in a hammock even in cool temps.
Down for very cold temps, down for cold temps, down for merely cool temps ... Did I mention that I like down?

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
up until 2 years ago, i used my old synth sleeping bag. used as a blanket inside my hammock, just flopped over in warmer weather or zipped if needed.
last year, i used a fleece UQ and TQ.
this year, i'm using WL Summer Series quilts. i will stick with the summer series for many moons.
I do a lot of day hikes in cool to cold weather and am wanting to do 2 or 3 overnighters from late spring through early fall. I'd say 50 to 60 degrees for a low, more of the 60 than the 50. Just thinking fleece would be light and warm.
