Nice setup! I asked on youtube if it gives you an issue when setting up or just setting in your hammock. I'm just curious about that. Since I bought my kelty noah tarp I was wondering what to do with my gear. I've been hanging it on a tree with my rain cover on it. My tarp has to be put above my straps so that leaves room for a gear loft, but my ridgeline may cause a problem with it. My idea was a little different but close. basically I would turn my hammock into a double layer but the bottom layer would have a considerable amount of sag to it and also allow a UQ to go between the hammock and the second layer which would hold my gear. I haven't attempted this yet but I've been on a DIY kick lately. I just finshed my snakeskins for both of our tarps yesterday. So I might try a variation of what your using.

Looks cool... I assume you don't have a ridge line? And am also curious about head clearance...

Thanks man! Sitting up in my hammock hasn't been a problem for me. I haven't had any issues with my grear loft inerfearing with my ridge line yet.
Your idea sounds great! I tried somthing simular with the loft I made. I would imagine that your idea would work better in the rainy season. Thanks man!

Thanks brother!! I do have a ridge line. I keep the loft on the foot side of my hammock, so my head doesn't hit my loft when chilling in the woods.
