Beautiful area and you picked a perfect spot to pitch your hammock!
Your pooch is enjoying himself! (That wouldn't work here in Florida with the gators).

Here you go:

I really wanted an Alpacka raft but couldn't justify the cost since I don't do white water. These things are great and they allow me access to hang in places otherwise unreachable. Big water crossing are possible too.

OK, you win! That's the coolest piece of gear I've seen in a long while. 35 oz?!?! That's insanely light. Just UC nylon? Thats crazy. How long have you had it? How durable is it?
It's fun gear. I don't always bring it because of the weight. You got to bring the paddles too. I also bring a light weight PFD in case I spring a leak and I'm out in middle of a big lake. Also if the dog is with me I end up carrying his PDF too. So the weight starts to add up.
I had it since last year and it's been on 5 trips now. It seems prety durable. Although I am careful with it. I get in and out well away from sharp rocks and sticks. I may bring it to Beyers Lake if I can make it to hang. I see from google earth that there's an island in the middle with trees. When I see things like that I am tempted to make camp in the middle of the lake.
It's not for everyone but I go to places were there are lakes and rivers, seemed pretty natural to me to want to paddle.
