I'm counting on it, but its all about "managing expectations" if the site says "Will ship on the 13th" and you're told it shipped on the 20th, only to be told again on the 27th that its "really going to ship now", you're going to be upset. I should have looked harder regarding the service, but honestly I doubt it would have detered me as the tarp reviews are great... but I would have known "OK, I'm going to pay my money and at some point 3-6 weeks a tarp MIGHT show up, but I'm going to love it".
My tarp arrived yesterday and I haven't yet had time to lay with it, but it's here...
Congrats!

I totally concur with GaryBunk. I had severe communication issues with Brian over a year ago and get a kick out of how absolutely nothing has changed with his habits. Brian makes a good product, but there are plenty of other tarp options out there that don't carry the "poor communication" baggage. Read these posts and then ask yourself if going through times of zero response/sparse communication is the best fit for you. You will get your merchandise, but you may have to titrate your blood pressure medication up to deal with these issues!!
Yes, we've been through it now a couple of times. Now we're starting a new round, and it's been discussed already.

Just to add my two cents....I love my tarp Brian made me a few years ago.
I emailed him about some custom work (non hammock related) three times....twice directly, once through the website....no answer in three weeks....
I've moved to another manufacture from the site.
Just another Ham in a Hammock....
Given what you guys know about this seller, how long should a person wait to contact their cc company for a chargeback?
Realistically? 4-6 weeks.
I love my OES Maccat, and I still recommend it to people who ask about it, with the caveat that if they order one regardless of what the site says, do not expect it for 3-6 weeks and that there are other vendors who can provide the same level of quality in a shorter time while answering e-mails in a reasonable time.
Brian makes a great product, but his communication is non existent, or at least sporadic and potential buyers should be alerted to that fact.
If the reoccurring posts are an issue then one of them should be stickied, because until Brian chooses to address his lack of communication, maybe by adding a comment to the front page along the lines of a realistic expectation of when the tarps will ship, they will continue to populate this vendor sub-forum.
Does anyone know him personally? Maybe he's dead.
