Im suprised clark doesn't make a "ramp" version, with only a set of poles for the head, like the do on the vertex. It would save some weight and material, and as far as I have cared in my nx250 I don't care about the extra space at the feet at all.

Its obviously easy enough to just not put in the foot poles, but then the material is too loose.

While the leading edge of hoods is a little different between Clark models, the mod works.
Yep, got that, and a good job of doing it too

I was just talking to them today about retrofitting an older NA with the newer style tarp connection. They don't have the old NA style tarps any more, so probably not, but they're good guys to talk to.

Yeah, the extra material will be there. But, you GOTTA put some elastic -- or to be a manly man of the trail, forest, lakes, and lakes--, shock cord, between the zipper and the hammock end to take care of most of that problem. Or, you could be the first to post here that you sewed a longitudinally gathered strip of the hood to elastic, so it is more elegant. But, then, you couldn't have prussiks, too. Then , sew darts and cut off what seems excessive hood material toward the hammock ends. Shed 10g. Present the first differential-cut hoods. (Not serious.)

I think in really hot weather, I'm gonna appreciate all the air exchange through the netting I can get.
