My wife and I just got back from 10 days car camping in the Carolina Hemlocks Campground in NC. It rained for the first 4 days, but the high water in the South Toe River and great weather the last 6 days more than made up for it.
My wife dubbed our 90"x156" sage green crinkle tablecloth hammock the PeaPod because we fit in it like two peas in a pod.
She also loved her Hot Pink DIY gathered end.
We met our usual "Hemlocks Family" up there, but the rain scared off most of them as spaghetti diner last Friday was only about 20 people, half of what it usually is.
Roaring Fork Falls(pic below) is just one of the many awesome waterfalls in the area. Anyone looking for a great place to get away to car camp, hike, and chill in the river should look into Carolina Hemlocks Rec Area Yancey County, NC. Home Of Mt. Mitchell.
