Jack R Better BMBH Coming Today...

Hi everyone. I'm back. I haven't been on the boards for quite a while. A lot has happened in my life. My wife passed away, I moved to a new state and I got a new job. Lots to deal with.

I ordered a BMBH from JRB and should be receiving it today. Are there any bits of advice that the forum can offer?? Any "gotchas" I need to be aware of??
I am really excited to have it. I can't wait to give it a try.

    Thanks,
    Cameron

A rectangle tarp seem to fit better than a hex or catcut tarp. Sorry about your loss glad to hear from you again.

    Sorry about your loss.
Remember to place hands on your chest/abdomen while laying on your back or you may be screaming "Boa Constrictor".
Underquilts fit better in this hammock than any other in my experience.

And ironically enough, pads probably work better with this hammock than any other I've tried.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, Cameron. It sounds like your life has really been full of challenges in recent months.

Get ready for what you may perceive as shoulder squeeze, but probably it isn't! Hang in there and work with it. Make sure you get the manufacturer recommended distances between the spreader bars. And maybe position yourself a little more towards the head- this will give you a little more room.

If you think you are getting squeezed, make sure it is really a squeeze and not just your shoulders conforming to the shape of the hammock. And like FF said, hands folded over abdomen. Or, until you figure it out, just get on your side or partially so. It is one good sleep whether flat on your back or on the side.

I heard a rumor about the Jacks making a XL model of the Bridge. Any truth to the rumor? I think that would seal the deal for me.
