Nor*Cal Sierra- Aug. 17-19 Beyers Lakes

The Trailhead is just before Fuller Lake exit on Bowman lake rd. There is ample parking on the right side of the road just before the small green gate. This is a 18 mile round trip that follows the north shore of Lake Spaulding, then follows Fordyce Creek to Granite creek for a short steep push and on to Beyers Lake. The plan is to get a few miles in Friday evening and spend most of Saturday enjoying Beyers Lakes and gawking at the Black Buttes.

I have Friday off. So, I'm pretty open. I was thinking of hiking in early, setting up and hanging a flag for others. But, that's just my first thought. I'd also be very open to ride sharing from the Penryn park and ride, if there are other Sac area folks interested.

    Anybody??

I was just out for a four day solo (hiked 36 of the 100 miles of Lassen NP, trip report, soon). I don't like my own company THAT much. So, if no one is going, I can go the next weekend if it suits anyone better. I'd like to get one more trip in before school starts up.
