I was just wondering if anyone ever tried this. It is (I think) camping in cities where you have to use stealth because you cant get caught?

Take a look at this thread...
It's camping anywhere where you're not supposed to be. This can be out in the back country where you're just not at a designated campsite or can be in an urban area among a small patch of forest.
about 90% of my hangs outside of my back yard are stealth hangs ..

Far too many definitions out there for Stealth Camping.
I don't view it as strictly as "camping where you are prohibited from camping". Yes, I include that as part of a basic definition, but to me it's more about "camping where and in a manner that prevents me from being seen/discovered". There are a great number of times that I 'Stealth Camp' completely legally. I just don't want to be bothered by interacting with anyone, so I go stealth and establish a nice quiet bubble in the wilderness. Not illegal, just a touch anti-social.
Trust nobody!
What that old saying? Oh yeah " rules are meant to be broken '
Yeah, "Stealth Camping" just means in a manner to not be seen. Doesn't have to be "illegally" or "where you're not really supposed to", but obviously if in those locations then, yes, you are stealth camping.

Unless I'm with a group from HF, I'm camping in a secluded spot (stealth). I'm just not a "campground / shelter" camper (probably because I live a metro area of 5 million people). I do however respect "wilderness area boundaries" as designated by the Forest Service, etc.
