Cool Source For Light Weight Spinnaker Material Seconds

I thought it was this group, but can't be sure: someone mentioned a
source for getting light weight spinnaker material seconds. Can't
find the URL now, but would appreciate getting it. Oh yeah, I want to
make a tent footprint with the spinnaker cloth.

As I recall the seconds were about $7 a yard.

    Any help appreciated!

I know about this site, but don't know what it would cost in conversion/shipping.

    Gossamer Gear

Were yoiu thinking of Gossamer Gear's site. They have Spinnaker Groundsheets at a good value yardage-wise. But also on the same site they offer "Polycyro ground sheets". Here is the blurb from GG's website...
Looking for a ground sheet that's lighter than Spinnaker fabric? The Polycryo ground sheet is constructed from industrial grade cross-linked polyolefin. This material is extremely tough for it's weight, with amazing puncture resistance. It has a tensile strength of 15,400 p.s.i. (1,083 kg./sq. cm.) per ASTM D-883. It is waterproof, but very slightly breathable (1.09 gms of water vapor/100 sq.in./24 hours). At 0.55 oz./sq.yd. (16 g.), it's HALF THE WEIGHT of our Spinnsheet™ ground cloths. You will have to replace this more often than tougher alternatives, but it's very economical. These single ground cloths are shipped as a 2-pack so you have an extra. Our medium size is 40" (102 cm.) wide.

The "Polycyro ground sheets" Might not be a bad way to make an extremely light tarp for those trips were it'd highly unlikely to rain any way.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

They 'look' like drop sheets you can buy at Home Depot. I'm assuming that these ground sheets are lighter?

**** thread links! I ended up ordering a couple more of the pads for Genuine Draft to use out here when it gets cold. This site makes spending my money far too easy. Where do I send my complaints!?

NOT cool. You're on double secret moderator probation.

So what was the final call on where to get Spinnaker fabric? I'm still considering options for tarps...Spinnaker or Cuben, but I hear Cuben is tougher.

I thought it was the other way around. Cannibal has a Spinnaker tarp I checked out at Trail days. Looks comparable to sil in terms of duribity.
