    Question 1.75 mm zing it

    Hello Folks Very New to Ham-mocking and I see a lot of folks being up 1.75 mm zing it First what is it and what do you use it for Ridge-line Maybe ??

    You can use it for a ridgeline but it is very popular for tarp tie outs. Its a hollow braid so it is spliceable which makes for neat knot free lines.

    I just bought my second 180' spool!

    I use it for everything except hammock suspension.
    Hammock ridgeline
    Tarp lines
    Stuff sack closure
    Spare shoelace
    Etc.

    Its better in the sense that it is lighter, less bulky, does not soak up water, and it does not stretch. Arrowhead Equipment and Dutchware also sell some IIRC.

    550 cord is nylon and strechesssssss. Also tends to be much larger diameter that Zing It
    I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
