DFW Overnight 8-4

I'm looking forward to the Fall Hang. The cooler weather will be much welcomed.

Hey Brute...I'm doing a bike ride/camping trip to Arkansas the last weekend in Sept. So far there's 15 of us signed up for the ride, but all the other guys are staying in a hotel. I'm hitting the state park and doing some hanging! Should be a blast. There's some nice roads up there.

See I wish I could get more into riding in groups, but i just have no connections in my area with groups... I know a lot of people with bikes, but its either too hot too cold or I'm leaving too early(usually to avoid the heat) so i end up giving up on calling anyone and just tell my wife where I am going and when i plan on returning and leave... I tried to get hooked up with a Christian biker group in san Antonio, but they always meet on the first Monday of the month and i just never could make it up there... Ehhh whatever, part of me enjoys riding alone, and part of me wants to ride with a group... Guess at this point in my life I'll ride alone...

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. I'll be moving my son back to Lubbock to start his Doctorate program at Texas Tech that weekend. Yall have a great time and stay cool.

My oldest goes to Lubbock Christian. He's starting his second year, but he doesn't go back until the end of Aug.

That seems like a pretty good reason to me. Have a safe trip.

The wife and I ride a Goldwing and with just over 100k on the clock and have ridden (not towed) all over the country several times. For some excellent group touring you might check if you've got any GWRRA groups in your ao?

Thanks for the reference... Got a question... Looking up gwrra it looks like you have to own a valkyrie or a gold wing to join... At least that's what I gather from the membership page... Either way the nearest chapter is 300+ miles away...

I think those riding "other than" are eligible for non-voting membership. Yeah, who cares as it's the touring that counts.

I will be unable to make it. Have obligations that I had forgotten about. I think that I'll try and check that place out soon though. It's close enough to Fort Worth for day tripping.
