    new top quilts

I ordered some top quilts from AHE, my boyfriend's for his birthday and mine, well, just cause I wanted one
Couldn't believe it when we packed up and our top quilts and underquilts (his birthday present last year) both fit into the bag that we each used to use for just a sleeping bag. Unbelievable!
We aren't hikers, we're kayakers, so weight isn't an issue, but space is at a premium and we couldn't be happier with this new set up. Both of us got lower volume boats this year so this space saving is perfect. Keep up the good work (and stellar service!!) Paul!

It is amazing what quaility FP down can do to reduce the size of a quilt/sleeping bag!

    Excellent choice.

That is a true statement about down quilts, however AHE top quilts use Climashield synthetic insulation.

    Cheers

Pretty sure the Flamethrower gear AHE carries is full power fill down.

Jarbridge line is Climashield. I think I'll be having one for my next UQ. If I can manage to hit one on sale, I might even be able to save enough to eventually match it up with a nice Flamerthrower TQ, if I can get them to make one up. I only see UQ's listed on the site.

no down for us, they're both Climashield. I still can't believe that UQ and TQ together compress smaller than our old sleeping bags...

Using higher quality insulation, even synthetic has it's advantages. I suspect that you underquilt and top quilt are smaller dimension wise than your previous sleeping bags.

    Enjoy using the new quilts.
