    Donna, this is the first time I've seen you hiking when you weren't "in the buff." Is the buff only for spring,fall and winter?

    J.D. gave me a Tilley hat. the joy! oh what pleasure a brimmed hat has upon me bestowed! i can see why people spend silly amounts of money on these things - an ode to "Canadian Persnicketyness" - and marketing!

    I'm in for fall MAHHA pre-hike! I'm interested in a SOBO, but looks like most folks are leaning towards NOBO. I'd love to make the Susquehannock hike, but also have an Adirondacks trip planned for that time period.

    Can't wait for the weather to cool off.
