As I walk in the woods........ well......... I feel at peace with the world.
There are two popular ways.
1. Sew channels along the long sides of the quilt and run 1/8" shock cord through those. From the corners of the quilt where the shock cord emerges, tie to a non-stretchable cord which will run to the hammock ends. There, loop the cords over the ends of the hammock. Shorten these lines until the quilt is snug to the hammock bottom.
2. Attach 1/8" shock cord to the 4 corners of the quilt and run those cords to the ends of the hammock and loop them over the ends. Shorten them until the quilt is snug.
You will also need to run shock cord in similar end channel across your quilt to cinch up the gaps. Just use a cord lock to adjust and hold it. You can save weight by using 3/32" shock cord in the end channels.
