    What was I Thinking?

My son and I had a chance last weekend to do a section hike on the AT here in PA (yes, it is that rocky ) and to test out our new hammocks. All I can say is what was I thinking lying on that cold, hard ground all these years? Thanks to everyone for pointing the way and offering all all of the great tips.

Only concern is that we have unleashed the gear monster

Since the first purchase of the WBBB and a BMJ Tarp less than a month ago we have:

    - bought another hammock for my son
    - made an additional DIY hammock
    - made a DIY cat tarp
    - made a DIY bug net
    - made 2 set of tree huggers and 2 sets of whoopie slings
    - bought a TQ from EnLIGHTened Equipment

we are now officially out of control here

It appears as if you will fit in just fine here.

Look at this way, you are doing your part for the American economy, that is a good thing.

Be happy - at least four of your points were DIY... Can't say I'm as good, but the gear I do have...
