the matrix has you
I didn't sell my Clark, but I did return it! I sold my Clark Deluxe a number of years ago. I also bought and sold after 1 night a Hennessey. Did not like that at all.
Maybe the resale value isn't as high for those.

Or maybe Hennessy has such a large share of the market that the beginners try those, the get rid of it when they don't like hammocking. Then, the ones who do like hammocking trade up for better features...mainly things like side zips and top entries. There just aren't many Clarks and Claytors out there compared to HHs.
Not many complain about HH comfort. Some find others that are more comfortable but few actually complain about them.
The biggest complaint I see about HH is the business practices, but this forum is an extremely narrow demographic to base that observation on...certainly not representative of all campers, or even of all hammockers.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
I would sell any hammock I couldn't get out of. :P Either that or I'd throw a BEEP into it which would rather trash the straight resale value. So far my DIY bridge and the HH are the only hammocks that qualify for keeping.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Right now for summer trips I use the Warbonnet, with the HH a very close second. When two of us go, those are the hammocks that come with us.
In winter I don't need the bug nets so I usually take the WarmHammock, with the second being a DIY Speer.
Now I have the Bear Mountain so I'll have to figure out where that will fit into my system. Definitely will go when my wife comes along, though...so that might be enough to get all 4 of us out hammocking now that she's found a comfortable hammock (good tests so far, at least).

I tried out my DD again this weekend, and DEFINITELY prefer my HH. By far the best nights sleep I've had in the woods in a long time is in my HH. I am getting the zipper mod done, and that should complete the mods for me. I am completely happy with my HH.
I found a Hennessy hammock more comfortable than a Claytor.
