    amsteel question

hey guys, just wondering, when you order amsteel from redding marine, is this what you order for whoopie slings etc? (is it strong enough for bridge hammock suspensions?) http://www.reddenmarine.com/checkout/cart/ just wanted to make sure Im ordering the right stuff!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Uh oh! The link in your post was to an empty shopping cart. But most of us use 7/64ths amsteel, like THIS It's rated to 1600 pounds and 100 feet of it weighs less than 5 ounces! Remarkable stuff!

The 7/64" rope is all 8 strand. It's what I use for all my whoopies.

Correct...the 7/64" is all 8 strand and the 1/8" and up is 12 strand. Both work great.

You have the right rope selected...Amsteel BLUE (they also have Amsteel(not blue) which is lower strength and not what we use).
