Like the title says, Morse Zig Zag deluxe sewing machine, model 560.
I can get one for free. Says it works.
Is this a keeper or should I keep looking around?

No, you should send it to me. I'll cover packing and shipping.
But, seriously, you can find a Youtube in which a medium age recent sewist compares the sound of a Morse with that of a "recent sm meant for lighter duty." My paraphrase.
That is / was a very well-made Japanese SM, by Toyota, with parts readily available from other machines, if necessary. You'll find lots online on threading and operation. Get some kerosene or 90% alcohol to de-varnish it, some brushes, some white oil, and have at it.

AND, if it is equipped like this: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-W...0/IMG_5090.JPG , it will have push-button adjustable feed dog heights. Can't make out if one of those settings is "Silk" or "Sil". <smile>

I'm still trying to find out more about it. My friend says it's a 60's model #560, but I can't find anything on a 560 except for the Singer 560 Diana.
I'll let you know what it is when I find out more.
If it's anything like that MZZ, I'll definitely grab it up.

I snap it up at that price.

If it is free take it and find out later if you should give it away.
Well I didn't get it. Nuts.
I'll have to remain happy with less.
