First off I'd like to say thanks to all the folks here for all kinds of info and encouragement to try this yourself. I'm really pleased with how this turned out and can't wait to take it out for my first hang. This is pretty much straight up from the instructions on the DIY Gear site. I had a bit of a brain fart when trying to get the stated ridgeline from 7 yards of fabric, but Scott set me straight and it was smooth sailing from there. (A few hours, but smooth sailing.)
I do want to ask this question: does anybody else find the sound of a needle going through sil sexy or have I gone too far down the rabbit hole?
