    Ordered my first hammock!

Went with the tan, er "Sahara" Kammok Roo and Python Straps. The main reasons were that it looks quality and my wife liked the part about them donating a mosquito net to a family in Africa. (Although the Roo doesn't come with a bug net... that's odd, right??)

Anyway, we're excited to get to hanging. My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and I have a bad back and both of us have insomnia issues, so we're hoping a hammock can help out.

If all goes well, we'll be in the market for a second hammock shortly. I'm hoping my wife can sleep comfortably and we can do more camping together because we've done hardly any except RV camping in the past few years due to her lack of comfort.

When my seamstress mother-in-law visits in a couple of months, I might just put her to work on some DIY, er DI-by-Proxy, projects. I've got some cool ideas and next-to-no sewing skill. Junior high home-ec class was a long time ago! Hehe.

Sounds like you folks are perfect candidates for hammocks!
I've heard nothing but good things about those python straps. I may have to order a pair just to get a good look at them.

I got the same Kammok a few months back and love it. It's big, which makes for a comfortable lay without any effort (I'm 6'5", and I fit on the diagonal just fine). The Python Straps are nice too - they have plenty of adjustment and are fast and easy to set up. Both the hammock and straps seem pretty tough.

I hope things go as well for you as they have for me - my enjoyment of my Kammok has led me to order another hammock, and buy camping gear, and build a turtlelady stand, and ... (disappears down the hammock rabbit hole)

    Have fun!

Hang them often and play with lots of setups. I am not an experienced hanger but Ive already learned that trial and error is best done at home or close to home before you go out in the woods or to a park for an overnighter. Man--- I love my hammock!

I hope it does work out for you and especially for her. God knows she could use all the comfort she can get. Good man for thinking of her.

I'll be hanging it as soon as I get it on the back patio. Then this weekend it's up to our "getaway" in Red Lodge, MT.

I'm wondering how the dog will like it. She loves to cuddle with me... um... she's a 70 pound yellow Labrador. Hehe. Chances are if she's left alone she'll figure out a way to get in on her own!

I'm already envisioning where I could put eyehooks in the living room. Rabbit hole, indeed, Polymath. Red pill, taken.

Welcome to a much more comfortable way of sleeping. My WBBB DL is vastly more comfortable than the water bed I owned or a sleep number bed I used for a while.

Hammock sleeping is a complete game changer.

I'll have an extra along with me when I hit the 'Bud in early Sept. Sure are welcome to borrow it if needed.
