Hex tarp that won't break the bank...or my back.

I am completely outfitted for hanging finally...except I only have my winter tarp, which is huge, and crazy heavy. I bought the fabric for a cat cut tarp, but I simply don't have the time to do the project right now.

I hang in a bridge hammock that's about 10' to the ends of the suspension triangle. The first one that caught my eye was the Eno Profly, but it's only 10'6" on the ridgeline, and at 22oz, it seems crazy heavy for such a small tarp.

Can anybody point me toward a hex tarp that will give me decent coverage, decent weight, and is $100 or less? I know that might be a tall order, but I figure it's worth a shot.

I got the Hennessy Hex Poly, it is about $60.00, the silnylon version is lighter but about twice the price.

I second the WL Tadpole. Beautiful piece of work, great coverage (unless you have a super long hammock), and it's really light. Mine comes in at 12.1oz, complete with guy lines, stuff sack and continuous ridge line.
It's bad luck to be superstitious.

+1 to this. The HH Hex poly tarp is what I use. I don't know what your weight requirements are for your tarp, but I know that I've been using mine for the last year and half, and I've yet to get wet. I've also just recently added doors to mine with velcro closures...I'm looking forward to testing that out this winter to see how much that helps warm things up and block out that wind and snow.

I concur with the Wilderness Logics Tad Pole. I ordered mine the other day it will be here tomorrow. I couldn't find a tarp for same price for similar weight and base on the raving reviews it has, it has superior protections. I cannot wait to get caught in a rainstorm with it.

For a 12-foot ridgeline full-size cat tarp, that is one heck of a deal.
