    UQP multi-purpose use ....

just thought i'd drop my 2¢ about another UQP use.....

been using an extra one for a hot weather sheet/blanket .... works great when its too warm for the Woobie...

took the shock cord out of the ends and replaced it with lash-it ( 64" )
so its easy to replace the shock cord if i want....but probably will keep one like this for summers....

    +1 for multi-use

I've used a DIY UQP made from ripstop as my only UQ during summer months

    Udp=

for those that might not know UDP is an underquilt protector
They are good for several things. Keeping splash rain off your underquilt,
protecting a big dollar investment from branches/sticks/etc. They also
add another layer of dead air for insulation...and when packing up you can if you want let the whole rig lay on it as you pack up. I try to do the shoulder thing keeping everything off the ground as I stuff it in the sack.
ZQ/TQ make a great one if you are not the DYI type.

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. Not in big rush to get it as it has been hot and humid to hang here. Can't wait for cooler weather.

We have to enjoy winter while it's still here. Last year, there was no winter. I fear this will be an all-too-common occurrence.

I enjoy winter because that means no skeeters on the trail, just the Yetis.
