Seam grip is for urethane, I believe.

Will probably not work well with sil nylon.

The Permatex flowable silicone should be available at your local hardware or auto parts store.

The Permatex Windshield And Glass Sealer? Not that I don't believe you guys who have used this, but it would have never crossed my mind to try a windshield sealer. Whar makes it better than SilNet? Does it stay more flexible over time?

    I found it at Walmart ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/21153075?w...806391&veh=sem ) and Advance Auto ( http://m.advanceautoparts.com/mt/sho...FYyQHwodH6ADQw )

Silicon is silicon once it dries. No difference in life span should be expected.

The advantage with the flowable product is in application ease, application appearance, and availability.
