Update on raffle prizes!
The raffle is looking downright awesome. Cottage vendors keep signing up!
JRB always brings great stuff like quilts and assessories.
Tato is sending one of his Element wood burning stoves.
PapaSmuf is bringing a Dangerbird Hammock.
Dutch will have his Outdoor Trail Gear.
And 2QZQ always bring their hammock "specialties".
Joe at ZPacks is sending cuben rolltop food bags.
Plus anything members bring! You can check the list here. Updates seem to be made weekly! Sky's the limit!
Thank you so much everyone. The raffle is one of the highlights of our hang because so many generous vendors and members donate such great stuff. Makes it fun and exciting. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Let's go, Mountaineers! Oops! I mean MAHHA!

I'm talking to the fam to see who's interested. I sure am.

The hang is weeks away and sign-up is over 40 people and a few 4-legged friends! If weather is as nice as it's been in the past, that brings out even more people. This will be great fall camp out! Meeting new people and catching up with old friends. Getting to know the faces that go with the names you see on HF. Seeing all the new DIY stuff and what's out there with the cottage vendors!
Gathland is a great state park with the AT running right thru it if you've never been. Can't wait to get back!

Have signed up for the hang.
Good chance I will be doing a pre-hike or post-hike. Not sure which, depends on the miles and speed.
( That is our anniversary week, and it seems my husband is giving me a gift of going to the MAHHA hang. )

GHawk! Awesome gift. I look forward to meeting you in person!
Also adding another great vendor gift for the raffle. BlackWolf is donating a 3 day supply of WolfPaks .. Meals Ready 2 Pack. Thanks so much BlackWolf! We're getting quite the variety of raffle prizes. Love it!

Wow, it's pretty awesome that you guys do this. I should have a hammock in time for this, but I have another trip planned for the next weekend to Green Ridge State Forrest. Not sure if I can pull off two straight weekends...
I'll see you all there. I'll be driving south towards Front Royal and would have room for a couple if anyone needs a ride from the hang Sunday. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
New activity added to agenda thanks to suggestion from Medicine Man:
Trail Baking Demonstrations and Favorite Meal Tastings - 1 PM at Pavilion.
Bring your lunch to the pavilion and watch Trail Baking Demonstrations by whoever brings their setups! HIkers, show people how you bake muffins on the trail or any of your favorite dishes. Bring a scale and timer if you want to prove the weight of your setup and show exactly how long it takes to bake muffins. You know weight weenies are going to ask!
Or just bring the ingredients for your favorite meal to make at the pavilon for others to try. Make recipe cards so others can try making it for themselves.
