Would anyone be up for a gathering of fellow hammockers? Im thinking August 5th. (warning-very large dog on premise... And uh two not so nice cats)
But we could always do it at a number of day hike spots around the Pickering area. That'd probably be the best option!

Sounds good to me, surreal_trip. That is the Sunday of the long weekend. Obviously that is not the weekend you are heading out on your trip.
A local park or day hike area would be a good spot. We could bring our hammocks for a show and tell and some impromptu hanging and napping.

There are a couple that come to mind in Oshawa area. However one of them on a long weekend in summer will have lots of people around.
Let's see how many more people show interest in this before we nail down a locaiton. I am sure you know of a couple of parks in your area that would be spots to hang a few hammocks for an afternoon.
