    Good News

Just got that msg I have been waiting for ..

A package was shipped to you on 08/03/2012 via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail to the following address
My cuben fiber tarp is on the way. Waiting time...2 weeks since I placed the order. Not bad since the Hammockgear web site says 2-4 week average wait.

The only bad news is that it has been to hot to camp out. Waiting things to cool off here.

Just got my 4S 12 ft tarp a few minutes ago. At first I thought there must be a mistake as the box did not feel like it had anything in it even though I could feel something moving in the box when I shook it.

I asked Hammockgear how much the 12ft version weighs as they do not have the information on their web site and they told me they estimated it would weight about 8 oz. They were off by a whole 0.2 ounces (came in at 8.2 oz with stuff sack and repait kit).

You can not appreciate how much lighter this tarp is compared to a Silnylon until you have one play with. It just does not look like it can be so lite weight.

I had asked for a special non structural modification which Hammockgear was able to do. I had requested that they autograph the tarp in one corner.

The workmanship is first rate and my I can't wait for the rain to let up so I can take it outside to set it up.

I put the 1L Gatoraid bottle next to the tarp for a size reference

So I'm not familiar with HammockGear - do they autograph everything - or did you seriously ask them to do that? - that's awesome!!! One day you'll be the only cat with an autographed tarp from them... maybe it'll be worth more when you sell it

I asked them if the crew making the tarp could autograph it in one corner if they could.

Waited too long to get it, I will not be selling it.
