Oooh! Wait. A set back. No BlackWolf at MAHHA means no triple bacon corn goodness. Oooh man, relapse to no smiles. I almost had it back together.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Sorry to hear about Tracy ( Blackwolf) not making it--I'll miss the guy!!
I want to stop at the Bears Den during the hike--Other than that--All is Good.
I have total faith in whatever 2Tall decides as a start, but I am leaning at Front Royal because the picture on their web site looks pretty!!!
Take a look at some pics from this site of the same hike from Front Royal to Harpers Ferry

Cool link. They ended their trip at the Va522 trailhead. Its the closest to the NorthGate of SNP with out extra hassle. Few miles North. Good enough for me anyway.

Im going to call Gathland/or ATC about which is the best lot for parking. Prob up on the right by the trail. Ill keep yuns posted.

Any other bases we might need to cover.??

Definitely wanna stop at Bears Den too.

    Hey 2Tall:
    I have a novel idea!!
I could modify my backpack to hang from the front.
That way you could carry your pack on your back as you always do, then add my pack to your front side.
That way it would free me up to quickly and with little effort stay ahead of the group to scope out for dangers, fierce wild animals, check out water sources, warn the group stampeding bison, packs of masked hiker robbing Raccoons etc.
Whatta ya think?? Pretty good idea??

Is there an area I can park at in Harper's Ferry and hike into the park? Me and my buddy want to hike into the group hang site, but don't have the time to hike all the way from Manassas.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

I did that last year - I think we parked at the Harper's Ferry National Historical Park for 6$ or something cheap. There's a shuttle that takes you into town so you can hop on the AT.

Check for parking at the train station( short term etc.). Go Early! There is a small fee...but it should last a couple days. If you park there, no need for a shuttle just follow the foot bridge on to c&o/ a.t....under the bridge and over to weaverton.
