    New guy - Alberta Canada

Hi, I'm new here. My hammock exp is next to zero, but I did spend one night in my home made hammock. It's just a piece of nylon from the fabric store with overhand knots tied in each end.

Looking forward to learning more, and having some good nights hanging.

Here's a pic of my setup under a pup-tent fly in May. Temp was just below freezing that night.

    Thanks for the welcomes.

I enjoyed my first sleep. I stayed warm with a thermarest in the hammock and a sleeping bag. I also wore a wool jacket and pants. more comfy than the roots under those trees, and I know because I have slept in that spot in my tent before.
