    I can't wait!

Has anyone brought a dog in the past? Does anyone mind if I bring Brock?

I can also bring some fresh duck (not enough for as many people are coming, but maybe 3 birds). Unfortunately, I won't have any (or enough) rabbit big enough to harvest for this trip, otherwise I'd bring some rabbit.

    Excited!!

Yes dog's are welcome. I bring my lab Max every where we hang. I will tell you it's better not to approach Max when we first arrive at camp until he's had time to use the restroom. You can ask Alan about that.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.

Glad you are going to join us!

Dogs are allowed in state parks, there are however, some park rules to read just to make sure the Rangers stay happy. I'm pretty sure those rules include quiet hours and leashes. There is a link earlier in this thread that has park info and rules.

Max is great, and don't be too hard on him. Alan has that effect on lots of folks.

Only 3 More Months Until Christmas!

    AND

About 6 weeks out until the 2012 Texas Fall Group Hang!

Are you planning on one of the sites Uncle Mike is reserving????

I have already reserved several sites and will be reserving several more very soon. If you are planning on sharing one of these sites AND you have already noted that on the PLANNING SPREADSHEET. I will have a place for you.

My final site reservations will be based on what is on the spreadsheet on 10/1/12. After that date, please get with one of the folks who have posted that they are willing to share, or reserve your site individually. (In fact, if you want to share a site with one of the other folks reserving sites, PM them to coordinate and then update your info as appropriate.)

Please take a moment to double check your entry and make any changes where appropriate.

I plan on putting several folks per site, but not more than 5 or 6. (Those coming with 5, I am not putting anyone beyond your group in your site, although we may want to park the odd car there if space is available.)

I'm looking forward to seeing you all out there!

Yep, we'll have our Carolina Dog (we finally figured out her breed!) Huyana there again. We've spent a fair portion of this last year working on her socialization with other dogs and she's a lot more calm now when first meeting another one. Of course, she's no longer just 7 months old too

Scout The Wonder Dog will be there in his secret identity of Scout the Mild Mannered Country Dog.

He hopes that no danger presents itself lest he needs to deploy his Mighty Bark and give his identity away.

    Hurray for other dogs!!

Brock is only 8 months old, and we socialized him VERY well when we got him. But then, a GSD at the dog park decided that he didn't like Brock's pride 2 months ago and so became very aggressive to him every time we went. So we stopped going to the dog park. Now, the silly boy, he gets VERY excited and stupid vocal when he sees another dog, for like, the first few minutes, if he can't go and greet them and initiate play. But with so many dogs around, it will be great, cause they'll all be available for play! (We're also working on his vocalization, cause its cute but obnoxious. Should be solved by the time of the hang)

    Claire

Reggie will be there. He will stay on leash while with the group. He is polite to people. I don't get much opportunity to socialize him with other dogs and he has not had his "manhood" removed, so it might be a good opportunity to let him sniff around (on the leash of course!) Gotta be a responsible parent
