I talked my son into coming from Dallas to meet me, sounds like a great time!

Smarter than your average bear!
I'm convinced that anything you pull out of the pan will be a hit so be creative, have fun, and since the secret ingredient is bacon, you're set.
Great! What do you hear from Tarp?
You bet. Hope you can make it.
Look forward to meeting you there.
I wouldn't know a pirogue if one slapped me in the face, so bring it and edumacate me.
There will be a group camp fire and each site has a place for individual campfires so bringing some wood makes sense, but you won't likely need tons of if.
As far as stands go, there are lots of trees, in fact more than we'll need, however some sites have fewer set up options than others so if you have a stand and want to bring it, by all means feel free. I'd like to see some stands, if for no other reason to steal some ideas.
Glad to have the Rat Pack in full force!
Excellent, I hope it works out for you.
It's a good place to split the difference on travel from your neck of the woods. Glad you're planning on coming. We do have a great time and look forward to this being a good one as well.
I just peeked at the spreadsheet and not everyone on the thread is on it, nor has everyone updated their info, however, we are growing! As of this post, there are over 63 folks planning on attending. Better pack an extra roll of film in the Kodak.

Just updated spread sheet. My kidos are coming as well
Add two to the list.
I missed last year because we just finished a two week RV trip to New Mexico. This year it is on the calendar and I will be there. I'll be happy to share in the campsite costs and will be updating the spreadsheet now.
Looking forward to meeting all of you. Will be bring the dutch ovens and will me making at least one "diabetic friendly" cobbler in case there are others out there who have to watch their blood sugar. I'll be on the hike depending on how the feet hold up. Glad this is a drive in affair.
That's great! This is a family friendly event and I know of several folks bringing kids.
Chris, I've added you and your date to the spreadsheet, when you get a chance please update the other columns.
Glad you can make it this year. I love dutch oven cooking and will be looking for some tips as well as doing some tasting.

Based on the folks who have listed themselves on the spreadsheet, some regulars we haven't heard from yet but I hope to see, and some folks who've told me they are going but have not posted, we are pushing 80 hangers so far!!!!
The more the merrier.
For those going the first time, don't worry, there are plenty of trees. The area we camp, Springfield Loop, has over 30 sites and each site can fit several people so space will not be an issue. There's plenty of room to spread out.
It looks like we have enough interest for a group buy on Amsteel line and I'll post more about that in a few weeks.
Once we hit October, we'll most likely have some more conversations going about activities, plans, and questions. For now though, I'm going to keep looking forward to cooler weather.

Weather at Fairfield is great, shade hasn't been hot and a nice breeze. Heading out today though, see you guys then or sooner.
This should be a fun weekend.
I am booking my camp site next week...
Add two. The grandchildren are coming.
