I working out the details of possible attending what is shaping up to be a outstanding event. One thing I'm going back and forth on is getting to event from airport. I could do a rental car but was wondering if anyone in the Dallas area may be attending and willing to give me a ride there and drop of at airport on way back depending on logistic. I'm planning on flying in Friday and out Sunday night right now, haven't booked ticket as of now. I'd chip in on expenses as well as maybe have a nice gift for you.... PM me if you think you might be able to help we out...
Probably won't have hanging gear yet as we hope to talk to some of ya'll to help us make a decision as to what to invest in.
getting information @ the hang is analogous to getting a drink at a fire hydrant, all u want, more than you need, but given by the nicest people.

ok, anyone have an idea how far this is from Beaumont?
Ok, I'm in if you all (y'all) can accommodate a yankee. Not sure of my work schedule yet, I just got in town today. Also a little light in a couple areas. First I only have a EE 40* TQ and no UQ, not sure of temps here this time of year but I'm thinking I'll need a warmer TQ. Secondly I have never, I say never hammock camped and aslo never set up a hammock or tarp. Recently I bought a gently used WL night owl and tadpole tarp and am not sure if I have everything I need to hang them. If anyone here would like to meet, I'm in Vidor, it would be greatly appreciated so I can get a good idea of what I'm lacking. Thanks in advance
We are planning to come if we can find enough gear to keep us warm that we can afford by then.
Beverly and mortonjl, I'll have extra gear(to much) hammocks, tarps etc, and others will have so gear never seems to be a problem, always enough extra to go around, so bring what u have and come on, besides the "oracle of Oklahoma" old Gringo will be there and will as always help anyone who ask.
