    OK I am Frustrated

After about $150 of me trying to make a better mouse trap I have finaly bowed down to the fact I need to just bite the bullet and buy an Under quilt for warmth and comfort. My sewing skills are no up to pare for me to make my own down quilt and I need light weight and compressibility which synthetic aint cutting it. I have made my own pad converter and just hate readjusting when I turn and flop around. I was able to come up with a good solution for kinda good warmth and comfort (Not sleeping on a pad) but it involves a very delicate adjustment to a Wallyworld sleeping bag a slab of windshield type reflector and an outer shield to block wind. Yeah total BS to carry and setup. So my real question other than JRB "Nest/ No-Sniveler (Cant decide which one to get) and Speer Snugfit, what else is out there? Again remember I am done trying to make my own, after two bombed attempts to make a synthetic one because the fit is just bad, I am not about to even bother trying a down one.

So after all this babbling let me make my question clear Out side of Speer and JRB what can I purchase as an underquilt for my Clark UL?

    well, since you asked...
I have made about 7 UQ's and 2 of them were for interested parties such as yourself. Read the thread about Tobits Quilts.
The great thing about the quilts I made for him, is that they were spec'd to his desires and the color was what he wanted.
I dont do this for a living, just having fun helping out my fellow hangers. If you are interested in a down quilt to fit your hammock, you can buy the materials from Thru-Hiker and send them to me, then I will ship the finished quilt to you.
(If my price for labor is reasonable to you)

I am not familiar with that hammock and what might fit it. But, some other things to consider are: Speer PeaPod. Almost guaranteed adequate warmth, especially if used with a summer weight top quilt like a JRB stealth. Or maybe even without, if cloths are adequate and temps arent too extreme and you don't mind closing it all (or almost all) the way.

If you can get one and it will fit the Clark, a Warbonnet short UQ. At about 16 ozs and synthetic, super warm and easy to use.

i think the clark has a built in net... i could be wrong. but if not, then the pea pod would not work very well.

Those are the only commercially available down underquilts.

Warbonnetguy makes synthetic ones, and SnugFit is making one in UK that started on bushcraft.co.uk. That's all the underquilt makers I know of, since Kickass stopped producing.
