    new hanger from Alberta

hello everybody. Im a noob to this all, and looking for a little input. I have tried a HH expedition but find it a little small, as I am at 6' and 175 lbs and would like a little more leg room. great for just hanging, but snug inside with gear. Not so easy here to find other options, but have been looking online at a larger HH explorer and also the WBBB 1.1 double layer. I think the option of having the double sleeve would be nice for mountain camping....but I can not say, as I have not been able to find any here for sale to actually try one out. any advice from someone that has tried both would be greatly appreciated thanks

Both are nice hammocks and will give you more room than the Exped. I tend to be a bit more partial to the WBBB because I like the shelf and the double layer. That is just me however.

thanks Im kinda thinking the same, to go with the BB but need a little reassurance that the extra $ are worth spending. Although I did like the ease of setup with the HH, I do not imagine there is much difference with the BB judging by the videos.

Edmontonians? Man, they'll let anybody register here these days!

    Welcome to HF!

I can tell you that I'm 5'11" and going to the larger Explorer (after using an Expedition for a while) was really nice for me. Unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to try a WBBB so I can't directly compare them for you.

ya, we do not have a lot of options out this way. MEC was the only place to look, and they only carry the expedition in store here.

When ordering the Blackbird from Warbonnet, you just get the hammock and suspension. You will need a separate tarp and no the Big Mamajamba tarp is not overkill for the Blackbird.
