It Happens Every Year...a PSA from og

Along about October, people start thinking about winter quilts, and order them. All at the same time. And then, they wait.

Be smart: Order now. You can thank me later.

    This is a good reminder.

Will there be 'I told you...' posts later?

Great minds think alike OG. Incubator 0 and jarbridge ordered and received in last couple of weeks. Another 5 days of procrastination would have saved me $35 on the jarbridge; bah hum bug. Loving both quilts. Can't wait for cooler weather to really test the incubator. Gave the incubator a quick test as a TQ one morning and have to say um um good.

Oldgringo speaks wisdom and is so respected around here that I expect everyone to heed his advice.

As a result I will be able to order my winter gear in October without worries about long leadtimes.

    +1 and then some.

Some stores are so on the ball, like Costco, that if I wanted to I could buy children's snow suits. They've been available for a few weeks now.

Perhaps the forum vendors should start doing Christmas in July sales where they offer their Black Friday deals in July.

    Cheers

How about 'round the holidays? September, November, even up until December... I suspect busy is an understatement. Guessing I should probably tell my wife to start ordering stuff a month or two early, lol. Does that sound about right?

EDIT: For that matter, how about around March? Wouldn't be surprised if that's another busy time, being spring and all...

Good reminder! This is also a good time to start planning and making your DIY quilts if you're going to have them ready for the season. So I'd better get it in gear, I have 3 down quilts to make and a couple of hats.
