Do any of you use Dynaglide for these purposes? I have dynaglide whoopies but
Was uncertain if it was good for soft shackles or continuos loops.

I've made continuous loops, but never tried a soft shackle. I prefer 1/8" Amsteel for soft shackles - easier to open the loop than the smaller diameter stuff.
I've made some great little soft shackles from dynaglide. Fiddly to make but excellent for attaching small things etc. Not as easy to open as amsteel but that doesn't bother me as i'm not opening and closing them all the time. Makes working with amsteel soooo easy after playing with dynaglide for a while.
I am a GEAR JUNKIE and GRAM COUNTER !!
There, It's out. I said it, Ahh I feel better now
Has anyone used an Amsteel soft shackle in place of the carabiner on a tree strap?
I usually put at least two wraps around the tree (or pole) so it bites and less load is on the biner, but I think a soft shackle could get it done even better as it's flexible.....and super light which is always a plus.
I've used amsteel soft shackels to replace carabiners in a variety of setups. I usually use Dutch clips on my tree straps, because they are quicker to fasten and unfasten, but soft shackels would work fine.
I use small dynaglide soft shackels to attach an external mesh pocket for my tarp to the webbing loops of my pack.
I made my softshackles out of amsteel. I dont use them on my suspension but I do use one on my ridgeline and replaced my s-biners on my tarp ridgeline with 2 of them. I've learned to only use them in areas where I will not be taking them off and on to often. If I plan on doing that I will use a s-biner instead. YMMV with my method, I like it but it may change down the road, YNNWWH.
