Yes, there is an "iron ranger" at the end of the short access road into the campground and to your left is a horse trailer parking area. Tomorrow I start unearthing my gear and getting ready for this trip!!! *giggity*

BTW, are there any fire bans? I'm trying to decide between my wood burning Emberlit or an alcohol stove system.

Oh come on... bring all 8!

There isn't any hunting going on right now so we should only have to deal with poachers (the hogs are very bad at the site where we'll be camping so I wish they would do some poaching there). There shouldn't be any fire bans but it is worth noting that there won't be fire rings or picnic tables on this hang. We'll be roughing it

I will try to post a gps track for our hike later today some time. I might try to cache some water on the site so that we don't need to spend as much time filtering. But then again... what will we do if we don't have to do some filtering?

I do think that I'll have some garbage cans or garbage bags out there so that we can do a mini service project. We'll be at the site of an old hunt cabin and there is still a lot of debris left that should be picked up.

I may be in. I will do a little more reading up. Not sure I can be there in the am on Friday.

I posted a kmz file of the likely path that I'll be hiking in to where we'll be camping. If you have a gps, enter the coordinates of the camp, and have a print out of one of the Google Earth maps that I did then you should be able to find your way down without any problems.
