It's been awhile, I might join you emcee.

Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I think the two of you have the itch that can only be scratched by getting out there and swaying in the woods (I'm just now recovering from the itch that can only come from hiking in the woods... chiggers... bad)
We don't need to bring too much stuff... saw, ax, and machete should be plenty for the entire group.
Since we will be meeting at the campground it is a good place for you to come early and hang out. Depending on the weather and my packing readiness I might come out and join you. But knowing me... I would guess that I won't finish packing until late Friday morning
It will be good to see the gang again!

Ok, bring on the cool(ish) FL fall weather... PLEASE! After winning my down UQ at the big hang raffle I have fallen hopelessly in love with down and I finally found a deal for a TQ! GoLite has a 1 season/40F (aka 3 season in FL) 800 fill TQ on sale ($119) that was finally in my price range... well, technically it was still a bit high but too good to pass up as I was getting ready for this hang and I was thinking about another backpacking trip with my old, extremely bulky and very heavy sleeping bag. Shipping was free too! I jacked the a/c up (or is that down? ) to 72 and used it last night. Mmmmmmm... ahhhhh... I love it
Next up is making a small/light sil tarp. My back is already thanking me and I'd bet that I'll be able to fit my TQ/UQ, tarp (and maybe my hammock too) into the space that my old sleeping bag used to take!
Is it November yet? I'm just back from a short vacation but I'll get the gps track posted soon for those that might not be able to make it on the hike out with me.
Dave
edit: I just looked at the forecast and it looks like I might be sleeping outside starting this weekend and Monday's overnight low in the upper 40s!!!!

Congrats on the top quilt and the cooler weather, Dave!
I'm ready for November! Hiked in New Hampshire last week - if the winter won't come to me, I'll go to it
And, I have a new suspension system to try.

Sorry to back out, I'm not going to make this Hang. Wanted to get out there with everyone, but I have a trip to the Mountain in Sylva,NC area I have to make.
I'll be hanging, but in higher elevations.
Post lots of pix. I know this will be a good time @Lake Wales.
We will miss you , Mark.
Yes, I believe you will be at a slightly higher elevation

Still hoping to make this one; the durned networks need to get off of their backsides and announce a time for the UF game...
