    New hanger in the family

We had a Camporee and a Cub Scout family campout planned for the same weekend. At the last minute my oldest took sick and could not go to the Camporee with the troop (all hangers). Well that freed up my oldest sons hammock for my Tiger cub to use.

So I set my WBBB and his HH Exp so that our heads were near each other and then tried to figure out how we were going to stay warm. He got the double bubble and I used my thermarest stuffed in a fleece sleeping bag. With cold weather sleeping bags as top quilts, we were toasty warm!

He slept the whole night without making a peep. Unfortunately, he should have gotten up for a potty break. Thankfully, the sleeping bag and double bubble kept the hammock dry.

He asked me on the ride home when he was going to get his hammock. I guess my whoopie slings are going to have to wait a little longer

I had my tent with us in case we had a problem with him sleeping in the hammock. It some how got a rip in it, so into the dumpster it went. I bought it 20 years ago, and it has served me well. RIP old friend

I had a small back packing tent I've had for years. Let one of the daughters use it one time - she brought it back in the box all nice and neat just like she got it.

About a year later I was going to take the littlest daughter camping so I took out the tent to practice setting it up. About half the tips on the poles were broke. Checked on line and the replacement poles cost more than the tent did. Oh, well, in the trash it went.

At least with hanging a person's "system" is a bunch of individual pieces.

Have fun with the little one - they don't stay little for long.

My youngest son had "accidents" up until maybe 9 years old. I wouldn't call him a bedwetter because it was fairly infrequent. Still, I am so happy that's in the past. Washing urine-soaked mattresses, sleeping bags, etc., was always a drag.

He's done it a couple times on camping trips, but thankfully not at home. Must be the allure of the sleeping bag

Sounds like a great trip. Next time don't let him play with the fire, my Dad always told us growing up "Little boys that play with the fire always wet the bed". Sad part about it, it was usually was true.
