Girlfriend, and I got a chance to try out our Atlas Straps, and they are great. No stretch like we were getting with the Slap Strap Pro's Can't wait to use them again!

I have had a set for about a month and even slept double one night in my DN (which I would not say is exactly "comfortable") and had no stretch I could discern. I am 6ft 235lb and she is around 130lb, would say our combined weight was 360ish lb. I am very happy with them. So much so I am considering modifying my HH with carabineers for Atlas strap use. Hard to beat for ease and speed of use.

I bought a set from rei when they first came out, had to swap out first set for another due to stiches breaking. I'm 5'10" 230lbs.

I am new to hanging, but why would you have to modify your HH to use the Atlas straps? I thought they were just made from a different material than the HH tree straps.

I think he means that he wants to get rid of the stock suspension ropes and replace them with a short bit attached to a carabiner. I actually did this same thing recently to use with my kammok python straps, which are the same basic concept as the atlas straps.

I really like the convenience of this setup as well. I now carry a couple of carabiners in with the python straps, and that serves as my suspension for any of my hammocks I want to use since I've converted them all to use this setup.

    Re: Atlas straps

I can't look up a picture for it right now, but you can go to kammock's website and I know they have a pic of the python straps that work the same way. Basically, the strap goes around the tree and then goes through one of its own end loops.
